Figma Make: What Worked, What Changed

While I’m waiting for Figma Code Layers access, I tried a small experiment in Figma Make using two existing mobile screens from a current project.

The task:
• Tap a button to open a bottom sheet, then close it.
• Keep the original design intact.

The interaction worked! 🎉

Buuuut, a few things changed along the way:
• Part of an icon disappeared.
• One product image rotated 90 degrees.
• Another was duplicated, with both copies reduced in size.
• The interaction didn’t feel smooth yet.

Seeing my screens become interactive so quickly was cool.

Buuuut, I’d asked it to keep the design intact, so those unexpected changes concerned me. 🥺

I’m preparing for an A/B user test, so I want to make sure people are reacting to the changes I’m testing, not things the tool changed on its own.

👀 Designers using Figma Make… what has needed the most cleanup in your experiments: the visuals or the interactions?
